We've built several outhouses on Lasqueti, where humanure composting systems are commonly used.
We use a bucket system for a two year composting cycle, at the end of which we have great home made fertilizer for flower gardens and fruit trees! This system keeps our water sheds clean and bypasses water filtration issues. The beauty of cob makes for a wonderful place to do your business.
