Karla, Mudgirl and local artist, designed her oven to have an extra wide base for counter and seating space. This was our first experience building a chimney into an oven. Works great! Karla envisioned small round knobs covering the oven. She also wanted to try Litema (manure and clay) plaster for the first time. Strong memories from this project . . . long building days in the height of summer, emergency dips in the pond, hauling huge huge rocks for the base, and Judy showing up at the perfect moment with beer and chips.
