Finishing Work: Over the next year, I slowly worked at finishing up my retreat cabin. I built a cedar shake roof over the bed nook, planted the living roof and watched it grow, worked on interior plaster, painting and mosaic, installing the wood stove, laying the floor and plastering the outside.
In July, we taught a Natural Building and Sustainable Living course on Lasqueti and spent each morning working on plastering and some finishing cobbing. We built a bench and the hearth and the rock and cob stairs up to the door. Click here for more about that course.
